Bianca Zahrai is the Principal and founding attorney at San Francisco ERISA Advisor. She has over 18 years of experience in the retirement, health, and benefits industry representing institutional clients in the areas of plan design, compliance, employee education, administration, and implementation with a focus on pension/retirement and health and welfare plans. She also leads the firm’s I-9 compliance practice, where she counsels and defends companies regarding their hiring practices of foreign national employees and compliance with the government’s I-9 verification requirements. She started her career in the area of regulatory compliance as an auditor with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration where she gained invaluable experience and insight concerning regulatory compliance in the areas of pension/retirement, health, and welfare. She is regularly invited as a guest lecturer and is tapped as an expert witness in the area of Employee Benefits. She has written on ERISA and retirement matters and is a frequent contributor to various publications. She is also the recipient of various American Jurisprudence awards. She holds a Series 6 FINRA license and is a Registered Representative. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Juris Doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
